Physical Wellness

On paper, staying healthy seems pretty straightforward, doesn't it?
The basics are clear: eat your veggies, drink water, get good sleep, include some protein, and keep stress in check.
So why does actually doing it feel so tough most days?
Reasons why it may be difficult to eat healthy:
1. Unhealthy food is cheap & always available.
2. Unhealthy food tastes really good! Think bacon, butter, cheese, and fats.
3. Sugar is very addicting!
4. Stress and/or unhealed trauma & pain can lead to emotional eating.
5. Too busy to grocery shop and cook.
6. Healthy food is expensive.
WELLNESS & PREVENTION
Physical Wellness is the combination of:
Wellness
Prevention
Think of wellness as your daily active mission to feel your best, in both your body and your mind.
It's about building habits that boost your energy and mood, like moving your body, eating foods that fuel you, and getting enough sleep
Making choices to promote our mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual health.
With wellness promotion, we actively engage in behaviors that contribute to our wellness and wellbeing. We learn and develop habits that will contribute to our well-being and lessen our risk for diseases.
Prevention is like being the smart planner for your future self.
It's tuning into your feelings and finding healthy ways to manage stress, because your mental health is just as important as your physical health.
Steering clear of food, liquids, snacks, ppl and situations that mess with your energy and mood.
With disease prevention, we abstain from known behaviors that contribute to illness and addiction. In addition, we look at our habits to see if they may contribute to losing or diminishing our health.
