SELF LOVE
I searched for myself and found God. I searched for God and found myself.
- Rumi
Love yourself unconditionally, encourage yourself & believe in yourself. Bless up, big up yourself & pray for your success and the ability to overcome anything.

You are the Gift

When I stand before God at the end of my life, I would hope that I would not have a single bit of talent left, and could say, "I used everything You gave me."
- Chadwick Boseman
We are not meant to keep our gift inside of us, but to bring it forth and share it with the world. When we live our life, using our gift to fulfill our purpose, we live a life of joy, gratitude and giving.
Do you know what your gift(s) is/are? What
do you think your best qualities are?
What do you love to do or what do you
have an insatiable interest in?
What are your strengths and skills that
come naturally to you?
Based on your strengths & skills, what service would you love to provide for others?
What would you want to do Monday-Friday for 8 hours a day?
What dreams or goals frighten yet excite you when you think of pursuing it/them?
If you had a guarantee that you would
not fail, what would you go for?
Do you know or have an idea what
your purpose in life is?

FRIENDSHIPS
A friendship is a relationship that requires what any other relationship requires such as communication, forgiveness, support, encouragement, honesty, fun, love and lots of laughter.
Often, friends fulfill a special role in our lives by providing support, love and encouragement that we may not receive from our family.
For some, our friends are brothers and sisters from another mother.
For others, friendship gives us a deeper and more meaningful relationship than what we receive from family.
For others, our friendships give us the family that we do not have because of their physical and/or emotional absence.

Not all Friends are Geniune

They may harbor jealousy & envy and want to be around you just to know what you are doing and how you are doing it.
Frenemies
There is a constant vying to beat you or 'one-up you'; or they don't want to see you doing better than them.
Competition
Power
Some 'friends' want people around them who they consider to be in a worse position than they are so that they can feel superior.
Some people make 'friends' so they have access to resources that you may have.
Users

Like romantic relationships, sometimes friendships end or we want to ‘break up’ with a friend.
Just like in a regular breakup, you or the other person may want to end the friendship. If you have had a close relationship or did not see the break-up coming, it can be just as difficult as a romantic break-up.
Friendships do End

Breaking up with a friend is hard to do, it usually happens in several ways such as:

Ends by argument and/or disagreements.
Getting ghosted or you ghost them.
Outgrew each other; no longer have things in common
Different paths and/or interests
The person or you just just doesn’t want to be your friends any longer

Name the loss - be specific about what you are grieving. The time spent together, the text messages, or social media friend.
Give yourself a grieving period. It's okay to be sad for a while, to cry to be angry.
Don't tell yourself 'it just happened". Process the emotions so that you can be free of them.
How to process it?

FAMILY
When we spend time with family, it’s helpful to be present and give them our attention. That may mean putting down our phones and spending some time away from electronics. This allows us to connect and really pay attention to one another and give one another the love and kindness we hold in our hearts for our family.
May be lonely and will welcome company. You can learn a lot about your family and its history from your grandparents. Remember that, one day (God’s willing) you will also be a Grandmom or Granddad and you would want “your grandbabies to come to visit you!”.

Do you think you spend enough time with your family?
Which family member would you like to see more often and share quality time with?
Do you think it is important to devote time and energy to your younger siblings and to the older folk in your family?
