Digital Gods & Digital Goddesses in a Digital World
Did you know: these disease are NOT a part of normal aging?
In this Health section, I will address the major diseases that impact the health of people of African descent. I will show the correlation between a food ingredient such as sugar or salt or unhealthy fats and what typically occurs in the body with excessive, frequent and long-term use.
These diseases result from the combination of a frequent and long-term diet high in carbs, fat, sodium, along with minimal physical activity and stress.
For most people, these diseases are preventable, and if we choose, we can
change our behaviors and habits that lead to these diseases.
The main takeaway from this section are two things
(1) that WELLNESS is a combination of disease prevention and wellness promotion
(2) food items such as excessive sugar, salt, unhealthy fats can move the body from wellness to illness.
Like two sides of a coin, one of them is to abstain from unhealthy habits; while the other is to learn, develop and practice healthy habits. In the following sections, we will discuss which behaviors and habits we can change to prevent disease and which behaviors and habits we can develop that promote wellness. Our health and well-being is a long-term investment that we make for ourselves. Choose wellness and be well.
